Key job responsibilities
Devise, create, and execute communications strategy and campaigns for live sports and sports programming on Prime Video.
Manage media relations for Prime Video Sports including traditional print reporters, sports and entertainment trades, consumer sports media, digital media, and influencers.
Work in partnership with other internal Amazon teams to drive successful PR programs for Prime Video Sports.
Provide strategic communications counsel to key executives and business leaders.
Manage complex communications challenges with media and internal stakeholders.
Keep current on trends, issues, and news about both the business and consumer worlds of sports, media, and entertainment.
Write press releases, media alerts, FAQs, talking points, talent and executive bios, and other publicity materials as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing crisis communications
- Experience working closely with senior-level executives both internally and externally
- Experience managing talent for events and/or publicity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong sports media contacts
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
- Has a strong bias for action

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
