The Production Operations team is responsible for delivering high quality event productions on all global live sports properties to customers worldwide, across all Prime Video product lines and devices. We also support our productions through process improvements, scalability, and various initiatives. We work on designing solutions (tools and mechanisms) to manage and support productions globally so our team can work more efficiently and continue to scale.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of remote, event and studio production as the Sr. Crewing Manager will be responsible for managing the crewing aspects (Above-The-Line (ATL) and Below-The-Line (BTL)) and travel of all event production personnel across multiple sports properties. The Sr. Crewing Manager will be the primary liaison to our third-party Production Service Providers (PSP) ensuring the hiring, scheduling, and deployment (travel requirements) of crew meets our production standards.
The Sr. Crewing Manager will work in lockstep with Sr. Production Ops, Production Managers and Coordinating Producers to ensure each event across our properties are fully crewed with preferred and best-in-class personnel. You will work closely with each internal lead to recruit, hire and negotiate key positions with PSPs to build crews for live events (both in-game and shoulder programming). You will use your understanding of broadcast functions and have an active role in selecting, scheduling and staffing ATL and BTL (technicians and operators) personnel determining the crew requirements for each event production. You will implement systems that map out personnel for each event and create mechanisms to track crew with PSPs. You will create standardized rate cards, maintain an event personnel list repository, and agreement terms across all properties and personnel. You will prepare and communicate crew information to the team (internal and external) by creating and distributing call sheets, playbooks and pertinent information to ensure accurate information sharing for all live events. You will work closely with third-party PSPs to ensure they are adhering to labor regulations.
The successful candidate is a self-starter and possesses the ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly with autonomy; and react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require immediate attention. The candidate has a proven track record of taking on end-to-end ownership, and is effective at delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. The candidate will be able to issue spot and escalate matters that have risk impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost reports
- Experience as a producer, production manager, line producer or in production risk management
- 6+ years of experience in production and/or operational planning, including logistical planning related to event production with a focus in crewing and travel. In-depth knowledge of sports broadcast industry roles and positions, rates and market rules across the US are required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading large projects and facilitate group meetings
- Proven track record working with third-party production vendors and broadcast media partners; experience negotiating rates. Broadcast or remote production experience overseeing 100+ personnel on high profile/large-scale events

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $88,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
