Amazon internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Amazon MGM Studios is seeking bright, multitasking, dynamic, and self-motivated interns to work hard, have fun and make history with us this summer. The Amazon MGM Studios Internship Program gives interns hands-on experience working with the studio behind award-winning shows and films such as Rings of Power, Daisy Jones and The Six, Hazbin Hotel, Fallout, Challengers, and The Idea of You. In addition to working closely with executives in our Culver City offices, interns have the opportunity to participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events and screenings.

The interns will work closely with the music coordinators on internal projects, support the executives on various project specific needs, and learn the ins-and-outs of the music process on either the Film or Series tea.


Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities for the TV Music Intern:
The TV Music intern will work alongside the music coordinators/executives and learn the various intricacies of the TV music process. Responsibilities include conducting research, participating in creative brainstorms, creating cue sheets, researching synchronization rights and preparing music deliverables. The intern will also assist in various aspects of pre-production, production, post, marketing and participate in department meetings (internal and external). A tailored end-of-internship project will be developed, focusing on applied learnings throughout the internship, such as, exploring the impact of music budgets across various genres. The final presentation will be presented by the intern to the entire Global Film Music Team. This internship experience will provide an in-depth comprehensive understanding of TV music in a fast-paced studio environment; requiring strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a passion for music in media.

Key job responsibilities for the Film Music Intern:
The Film Music intern will work closely with music coordinators/executives and learn the intricacies of the film music process. Responsibilities include conducting research, participating in creative brainstorms, building upon existing data from previous interns, creating cue sheets, researching synchronization rights, and performing PRO repertory searches. The intern will also assist in various aspects of pre-production, production, post, marketing and participate in industry events. A tailored end-of-internship project will be developed, focusing on the intern's interests and studio needs, such as exploring DEIA trends within the music and film industry. The final presentation will be presented by the intern to the entire Global Film Music Team. This internship experience will provide a comprehensive understanding of film music in a fast-paced studio environment, requiring strong multitasking abilities, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Key job responsibilities for the Marketing Music Intern:
The Marketing Music Intern will work alongside the Music Licensing and Marketing teams to learn the various intricacies of music licensing in marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include conducting clearance research, reviewing cue sheets, maintaining a music clearance database, analyzing licensing gaps, and preparing documentation for music usage in marketing materials. The intern will also assist in tracking music rights compliance, optimizing licensing and payment processes, and participate in cross-functional meetings (internal and external). This internship experience will provide an in-depth comprehensive understanding of music licensing in a fast-paced marketing environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Have an expected graduate date between October 2025 - September 2027
• Be able to work 40 hours/week and commit to a 12-week internship
• Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Film and Television Production, Digital Media, Multimedia Arts, Audio Engineering, Visual Arts, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or majors relating to these fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Outlook and strong competency in Word and Excel

• Prior experience in the entertainment industry
• Possess excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and interpersonal contexts
• Exhibit effective planning, time management, organizational abilities, and high attention to detail
• Apply creative problem-solving skills to complex situations
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
• Ability to work in rapidly changing environment
• Prior experience in the following: music cue sheets, music synchronization rights, PRO repertory search, Airtable and/or advanced Excel, social media market research, Photoshop, and Mailchimp.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $40,529/year in our lowest geographic market up to $49,535/year in our highest geographic market.
