Prime Video is hiring a Head of Social, Prime Video US who will be responsible for leading the team in charge of our local social strategy. This person will oversee cross-platform and cross-handle strategies, including our community management approach, recurring formats, reactive content, visual identity/tone of voice application, audience development, and bespoke platform initiatives. They will own the evolution of the Prime Video US Social Voice in collaboration with the global brand strategy team, creating a playbook that extends Prime Video brand positioning, pillars and expression into our social editorial strategies. They monitor, track, and manage all US social KPIs and will work with paid media teams to build strong relationships with key social platforms, driving prioritization for Prime Video asks and needs. They will also collaborate on partner relationships in to support social infrastructure and automation.
The ideal candidate is a social media expert with a background in media and entertainment or other large consumer facing categories that move at the speed of culture. They are familiar with the principles of social listening and insights, and passionate about the power of data to drive business outcomes. They thrive on staying current on social media, content and creator marketing landscapes. They have experience working with matrixed ownership typical to large international organizations, and know how to lead by influence. They have strong team leadership with experience mentoring and developing a team of social media professionals.

About the team
The Prime Video US Social team (PV US) leads regional social media strategy, creative, and publishing across all Prime Video Brand and Audience Verticals (e.g. @PrimeVideo, @PrimeMovies, @PrimeComedy, @CultureRated, @PrimeroLatino) and all social platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube). Their charter is to drive social platform Audience Growth (Followers/Engagement) and Engagement (Likes/Comments/Shares), by delivering best-in-class social content that delights US customers. The PV US Social Team is responsible for partnering with key marketing stakeholders (e.g., Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video International, Global Brand, Marketplace, Sports) to prioritize and support key campaigns and title launches with data-driven social strategies paired with custom content, optimized per platform and audience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing teams
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- 10+ years of professional non-internship social marketing experience with a strong foundation in paid and organic social media, content and creator marketing
- Familiarity with social media insights tools and techniques, translating insights into marketing moments
- Experience communicating effectively and presenting to senior business leaders as well as with creative-minded stakeholders
- Experience influencing broadly and working efficiently with stakeholders and team members across regions and time zones
- Experience thinking creatively, taking initiative, and constructively advocating on behalf of the customer
- Experience discussing business and technical concepts, evaluating tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with time-tracking/resource management tools
- Experience with budgeting and scheduling software
- Advanced degree in marketing or communications
- Experience in the entertainment industry in a social editorial or marketing role
- Experience working in a matrixed multi-national organization
- Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with business owners to define key metrics and build data sets
- A passion for content, brands, social and digital media, and popular culture
- Proactive attitude, natural curiosity, and willingness to roll up sleeves to achieve goals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
