Key job responsibilities
* Lead data collection and oversee the ETL pipeline for SVOD, AVOD, and FAST services.
* Develop and manage KPIs to assess the effectiveness of sales team efforts across 80+ local and global services.
* Manage forecasting projects and deal analysis, especially for high-value and ambiguous deals related to AVOD/FAST, stacked rights, and key clients.
* Create and refine best practices for OTT analysis, including SVOD, AVOD, FAST, Catch-Up using first-party (1P) and client viewership data.
* Train the analytics and research team on methodologies and review all analyses produced.
* Stay informed about market dynamics, industry trends, regulatory changes, and service/channel needs to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
* Analyze title, territory, and media trends to propose strategic actions for leveraging core competencies and innovating.
* Establish partnerships with analytics leaders and senior stakeholders across the organization to access data resources and organizational insights.
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) bridging the third party (3P) Distribution business and the 1P platform perspectives.
* Simplify and present complex concepts to various teams to ensure understanding and alignment.
* Provide dashboards, tools, and resources to support sales teams and help maintain competitiveness.
* Mentor each team member.
About the team
Amazon MGM Studios Distribution oversees the third party monetization of Amazon Studio’s titles, as well as MGM new release and library movies and series such as film franchises James Bond, Rocky and Creed, and series The Handmaid’s Tale, Vikings, and Fargo.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors degree in a quantitative field or MBA with a strong data-driven business development background or equivalent experience
• 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry, with expertise in distribution windows and streaming viewership data.
• 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with a proven track record of extracting meaningful business insights.
• Knowledge of advertising metrics and reporting for AVOD and FAST services.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write and troubleshoot queries.
• Proficiency with Excel and common business intelligence/analytics/visualization applications (Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlik etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters or PhD in Data Science or similar discipline
• Strong understanding of the film industry, marketing strategies, and digital/social media metrics, as well as familiarity with industry data sources (e.g., NRG, Comscore, Nielsen, Glance, MediaLogic, Parrot Analytics) and ROI analysis.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to influence decision-makers with data.
• Experience leading and mentoring data science/research teams.
-Understanding of data and ETL pipelines, with the ability to communicate requirements to engineers.
• Proven ability to build partnerships and provide
actionable guidance by adapting details to various teams' technical knowledge.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and data engineering tools/platforms (e.g., Airflow, Snowflake, AWS).
• Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques, including experience with tools like AWS Sagemaker, PyTorch, Tensorflow, xgboost, randomforest, caret, ggplot2.
• Ability to build, maintain and troubleshoot machine learning pipelines and dashboards.
• Advanced skills in financial modeling and forecasting, especially for licensing revenue models.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
