The Sr. Vendor Manager will play a pivotal role leading and transforming the vendor management approach across the global Workforce Staffing organization. Using a data driven approach while leveraging cutting-edge generative AI capabilities, this role will drive the strategic management, standardization, and optimization of WFS's vendor investments and relationships to enhance the candidate experience, mitigate risks, drive operational efficiencies, and deliver significant cost savings.
Key job responsibilities
Implement a centralized, standardized vendor management framework, including clear roles/responsibilities, approval processes, and performance monitoring via KPIs/SLAs
Automate and optimize the full vendor lifecycle - from sourcing and onboarding to performance monitoring and offboarding - leveraging AI-enabled systems to drive efficiencies
Serve as a strategic business partner, utilizing data-driven AI insights to recommend vendor strategy, portfolio changes, contract negotiations, and other initiatives that align with cost optimization and risk mitigation goals
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure vendor relationships support the broader business strategy and transformation initiatives
Drive continuous improvement of vendor management practices through a data-driven, feedback-oriented approach powered by AI and analytics
Negotiate favorable contract terms and renewals to maximize value and mitigate risks
Analyze vendor performance data and provide actionable recommendations to enhance service delivery and cost-effectiveness
Develop and implement standardized vendor management policies, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and accountability
Lead vendor review meetings, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with vendors to address issues
Manage vendor risk and business continuity, establishing robust contingency plans and forward-looking scenario planning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 5+ years of Vendor Management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
