Key job responsibilities
- Lead a high performing team comprised of managers and associates responsible for ensuring cargo integrity and security for Amazon’s managed inbound freight programs
- Lead inventory shortage detection mechanisms focused on identifying and rectifying transportation defects
- Ensure case queues for support shipper and carrier inquiries are maintained within SLAs and provide a best-in-class customer experience
- Establish KPIs, reporting, and goals to deliver outstanding results.
- Create net new insights to increase our visibility into where defects occur and develop lasting solutions to address them.
- Drive team performance and report on team’s output in WBRs and Leadership Reviews
A day in the life
As a Manager III, Supply Chain on the Cargo Integrity & Recovery Services (CIRS) team, you'll lead a team that provides scalable services to internal teams and shippers that use Amazon-Managed transportation. You'll interface heavily with internal and external stakeholders, set standards for processes that detect transportation defects that result in inventory shortages, and foster a culture of engagement and inclusion within a high-performing team. In addition to team management, your day will involve data-driven decision-making to drive results that contribute to Amazon becoming the most trusted supply chain provider in the world. You will also leverage strong writing skills to author and contribute to Leadership narratives, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).
About the team
The Cargo Integrity & Recovery Services (CIRS) team is part of Amazon Global Logistics (Amazon Inbound Transportation). We are a diverse group of Program, Product, and Supply Chain Managers focused on ensuring a best-in-class experience for shippers that inbound freight to Amazon's supply chain network. We partner extensively with Amazon teams across the WW Stores organization, as well as with our Shipper Customers (Retail Vendors and FBA Sellers) and Partnered Carriers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
