This role is based out of Tempe Arizona at AZA3 and is not a virtual role. This position will require you to be in office full time as of January 1st 2025.

The Amazon Central Operations team is seeking Flow Leads with a proven track record of driving results to join the growing team supporting Site and Flow Operators in achieving robust operational outcomes within our fulfillment centers. Flow Leads hold various roles within Central Flow. All roles include curating flow plans for assigned sites across North America. Central Flow Flow Leads will be responsible for partnering with operators within various processes to optimize network fulfillment workflow. We prioritize agility, adaptability, and purposefulness. Central Flow - Flow Leads work directly with multiple verticals within Central Operations. Below is a list of our various teams and ways we serve the NACF network.

Central Ship Clerk:

The Central Ship Clerk (CSC) is responsible for North American Amazon Robotics FC ship clerk responsibilities (volume, allocations, trailer moves, ship dock workflow). As an overview, CSC associates need to raise the bar with clear, concise, prompt, respectful and actionable communication, as well as delivering results through self-initiative and ownership. Applicants should be flexible with shift schedule and may have to work nights or extended hours. Key areas of responsibility include managing the workflow of outbound orders across multiple processes and managing customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost across multiple FCs. The lead will be responsible for communication of workflow status with Operations Managers and Area Managers and any escalation of any Customer Experience Risks, SLA failure risks or deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager(s) and General Manager(s). The lead is expected to play the role of an advisor to the operations team based on their holistic view of the outbound flow and facilitate communication between multiple areas of outbound operations across multiple sites.

Central Trailer Flow Risk Specialist:

The Central Trailer Flow (CTF) Risk Specialist is responsible for onsite trailer defect correction and yard flow support. The CTF Risk Specialist reports and drives resolution for dwelling trailers affected by priority score compliance, time in yard, and trailer defects for the AR Sortable network. Key areas of responsibility include daily reporting of trailer defects, engaging stakeholders to resolve defects, correcting manifests and stale VRIDs, and logging all defect corrections through a SIM ticketing system. This specialist is responsible for managing communication between the Ship Clerk(s), Transportation Area Manager(s), and Linehaul Team(s) and frequently corresponding with the Senior Manager(s) and General Manager(s) on yard and defect status. The specialist is expected to play the role of an advisor to the operations team based on their holistic view of the yard and facilitate communication between Operations, TOM, and ROC.

CFH Lead:

The Central Flow Floor Health (CFH) Lead is responsible for managing amnesty floor access best practices and engaging with operations leaders at multiple Fulfillment Centers (FCs). Leads provide critical insight to Amazon Robotics (AR) sites and provide clear, concise, communication to operations teams onsite. Applicants need to be high-achievers in regards to clear, concise, prompt, respectful and value-add communication, as well as delivering results through self-initiative and ownership with limited management oversight.

USNS Flow Lead:

The US Non-Sort (USNS) Flow Lead is responsible for managing outbound operations, volume and workflow throughout multiple US Non-Sort Fulfillment Centers (FCs). This includes managing the workflow of outbound orders across multiple process and managing customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost across multiple FCs. This role is responsible for communication of workflow status with Operations Managers and Area Managers and any escalation of any Customer Experience Risks, SLA failure risks or deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager(s) and General Manager(s). The OB Sortable lead is an advisor to the operations team based on their holistic view of the outbound flow and facilitate communication between multiple areas of outbound operations.

OB Sortable Lead:

The Outbound Sortable (OB) Flow Lead is responsible for managing outbound operations, volume and workflow throughout multiple AR Sortable (ARS) and Traditional Sortable (TSSL) Fulfillment Centers (FCs). This includes managing the workflow of outbound orders across multiple process and managing customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost across multiple FCs. This role is responsible for communication of workflow status with Operations Managers and Area Managers and any escalation of any Customer Experience Risks, SLA failure risks or deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager(s) and General Manager(s). The OB Sortable lead is an advisor to the operations team based on their holistic view of the outbound flow and facilitate communication between multiple areas of outbound operations.

IXD Flow Lead:

Inbound Crossdock (IXD) Flow leads review hourly and real time metrics for their site and provide/execute on flow moves that will benefit the flow of the building as a whole. When a site misses metrics, the Flow Lead determines the best moves to mitigate lost volume. Central Flow optimizes IXD system outputs by centralizing and standardizing planning and execution and automating critical decision points across the operation from the Inbound Dock to the Outbound Dock. Central Flow partners with software and tech teams to improve existing tools and shape the requirements for tools of the future, while simultaneously spreading best practices and knowledge to our customers: FC operators in the field.

IXD CISS Lead:

The IXD Central Inbound Support Services (CISS) Lead provides daily remote leadership and ISS problem solve insight to both associates and management teams across multiple Amazon IXD cross docks. IXD Central ISS centrally leads and manages Inbound Support Services teams across Amazon IXD cross docks to optimize speed and cost for Amazon fulfillment operations.

SDC Flow Lead:

Supplemental Distribution Center (SDC) Flow leads review hourly and real time metrics for their site and provide/execute on flow moves that will benefit the flow of the building as a whole. When a site misses metrics, the Flow Lead determines the best moves to mitigate lost volume. Central Flow optimizes SDC system outputs by centralizing and standardizing planning and execution and automating critical decision points across the operation from the Inbound Dock to the Outbound Dock. Central Flow partners with software and tech teams to improve existing tools and shape the requirements for tools of the future, while simultaneously spreading best practices and knowledge to our customers.

CISS Lead:

The Central Inbound Support Services (CISS) Lead provides daily remote leadership and ISS problem solve insight to both associates and management teams across multiple Amazon Robotic Sortable FCs. Central ISS centrally leads and manages Inbound Support Services teams across Amazon Robotic Sortable FCs to optimize speed and cost for Amazon fulfillment operations.


Key job responsibilities
- Manage the workflow of order across multiple processes.
- Manage customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost across multiple FCs.
- Be responsible for communication of workflow status with Operations Managers and Area Managers including escalation of any Customer Experience risk, SLA failure risk, or deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager or General Manager.
- Act as an advisor to the FC operations and senior operations team based on their holistic view of work flow throughout the FC.
- Facilitate communication between multiple areas of the operation.
- Manage flow settings for multiple process paths in inbound and/or outbound operations for multiple Fulfilment Centers based on shift plan.
- Understand the boundary of responsibilities between Operations on the floor and Central Flow as dictated by Standard Work developed by Central Flow Management.
- Execute inbound and/or outbound flow operations and communicate the Customer Experience risks and performance opportunities to FC operations in a standardized manner.
- Execute and develop shift plans based on FC operational requirements and adjust as variables change.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school or equivalent diploma or 1 year equivalent professional or military experience
- Current Tier 3, or higher level, Amazonian
- 1+ year(s) working in data analysis and formula creation in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to deliver on behalf of customers and work in customer-centric environments
- Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of professional or military experience
- College degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field
- Expertise in SQL and VBA, Excel Macro creation and modification
- Ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and stressful situations with minimal management oversight
- Ability to work well in a team environment remotely and as an advisor
- Desire to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment
- Ability to understand details of inbound and/or outbound shift plans for multiple Fulfillment Centers
- Ability to grasp complex system settings for single/multi shipment orders
