Ensure customer and partner teams success in building applications and services on the AWS platform by utilizing customer facing skills and technical background to drive discussions regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation.3. Assist in the development of technical architecture and capacity, while also collaborating with partners on key engagements. Own and drive work-streams on projects, involving architecture, design, development, and implementation of Amazon's utility computing web services.4. Be a part of the team in delivering proof-of-concept prototypes, topical workshops, and implementation projects.5. Focus on key customer solutions, such as Landing zone or AWS Control tower, web applications, enterprise applications, HPC, archiving and disaster recovery.6. Assist in the migration of existing applications and the development of new applications using AWS services, working with engineering, support, and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.7. Define technical and project strategies, document best practices, and consult and provide analytical insight on product improvement/development and feature innovation for cloudbased web services and platforms based on scalability, performance, availability, and cost.8. Mostly domestic travel required up to 25% of the time.9. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of experience in IT implementation or software engineering.In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field followed by 5 years ofprogressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in IT implementation or software engineering.Experience must include: 1. Three years of experience with at least one of technology infrastructure, databases, network, compute, storage, or virtualization. 2. Any amount of experience with cloud-based solutions to migrate existing workloads and infrastructure to the cloud, or integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies from vendors like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, or SAP. 3. Any amount of experience with at least three of the following AWS Services and technologies: AWS Backup, Amazon Inspector, Amazon MQ, Athena, AutoScaling, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Cognito, Config, EBS, EC2, EFS, ELB, Elasticsearch Service, IAM, KMS, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, Route 53, S3, SNS, Snowball, Systems Manager, or VPC. 4. Any years of experience with scripting and programming tools and languages including, but not limited to Java, Python, CloudFormation, Terraform, Powershell, PHP, C++ or Linux Shell scripting. 5. Any years of experience with the design, development, deployment or maintenance of IT infrastructure or business software in real work environments. 6. Any years of experience working with customer IT teams in designing or troubleshooting cloud and network related architecture.The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $131,300- $177,600 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
