In this role, you will manage multiple, large-scale ((100+ MW)) and technically complex power infrastructure projects across multiple geographies by facilitating close collaboration between both internal and external stakeholders. Within the overarching strategy, this individual must be resilient in exploring and discovering new supply opportunities (that delivery both near term capacity with an accelerated path to net-zero carbon supply), ultimately converting them into tactically sound and executable energy projects while working to reduce energy capital and operating expenses. Internally, responsibilities outside of implementing the defined strategy include reporting status, risks, mitigations and successes to C level and VP level leadership, as well as influencing multiple cross-functional partner teams in the overall data center capacity delivery business process. Externally, this role takes ownership of managing utility interactions, coordinating efforts between real estate, engineering and planning teams in site evaluation, project engineering, scheduling and budgeting, including influencing and contracting with the utility, EPC and/or Owner’s Engineer to meet AWS’ needs. The individual will work in an integrated team to implement a strategy that meets and exceeds AWS’ energy program requirements while delivering projects on time, with tangible reliability and cost-saving results.The ideal candidate will possess a strong energy background and a proven track record of developing and delivering on innovative energy projects.
