The Amazon Private Brands Sustainability team owns defining and operationalizing environmental and social sustainability standards across the business teams over a multi-year horizon. We provide functional teams support to deliver against public sustainability goals, regulatory standards, and more. We focus on providing expertise, education, program management mechanisms, tools, and data to drive functional teams to scalably own in their areas of responsibility.Amazon's Social Responsibility program drives customer trust, business continuity, and sustainable social impact by embedding respect for human rights and the environment throughout Amazon’s entire value chain. We implement company-wide standards and commitments such as our Global Human Rights Principles (GHRP) and Supply Chain Standards (SCS). We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.We are looking for a Senior PM to support developing and executing a human rights strategy, including compliance with human rights and environmental due diligence regulations, for the global Amazon Private Brands organization.Key job responsibilities- Influence and collaborate with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders while driving leading management practices through capacity building and strategic communication.- Execute human rights and environmental assessments and advise global business partners, company leadership, and key functions on corresponding risks and opportunities.- Work alongside teams within WW Sustainability to align on plans to address human rights and environmental risks identified. - Facilitate discussions across multiple stakeholder groups to design and test human rights-based risk management mechanisms.- Drive innovative solutions to challenging problems with a well-reasoned and solution-oriented vision, grounded in practical roadmaps and persistent prioritization.- Quickly learn about and understand different Amazon teams and dive deep into their unique needs, human rights risks, and social impact opportunities.About the teamDiverse Experiences:Amazon Private Brands (APB) values diverse experiences. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in human rights, environment, law, public policy, economics, supply chain management, or related field.- 5+ years of experience in business and human rights, environmental and social impact, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, social justice, and/or related field.- Expertise in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and other leading human rights frameworks.- Expertise on Environmental Due diligence and issues as pertains to the German Supply Chains Act and other emerging HREDD regulations. - Experience with multi-stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and collaboration.- Track record of working independently and with a diverse set of partners to solve complex, large-scale issues.- Ability to persuasively propose leading strategies and principled yet practical solutions in writing and via oral presentation, particularly to business audiences.- Engenders trust and respect in all working relationships; uses influencing and negotiation skills to drive improvements through shared ownership and accountability. ...
