Sr. Communications Manager, GS Communications and Creative Solutions
Within AWS, the Global Services organization touches every stage of a customer’s cloud lifecycle and simplifies how customers interact with our individual services. The GS Communications and Creative Solutions team (GSCCS) is seeking a highly creative communications professional to lead employee communications for the AWS Support and AMS business unit. This critical AWS function accelerates recovery from operational disruptions, and provides proactive planning and communications, advisory, automation, and cloud expertise to help customers achieve business outcomes with increased speed and scale in the cloud. Serving as thought leader, subject matter expert, and business partner, the Sr. Communications Manager is responsible for internal strategic communications and works closely with stakeholders across the team, as well as PR, Marketing, Sales, and HR, to deliver executive communications initiatives for senior leaders including the Vice President of the organization. They work backwards from the customer to deliver high-impact messaging across a range of channels and measure success through both quantitative and qualitative data points. Key job responsibilities- Define and drive executive and internal communications strategy to support business goals, while emphasizing impact, creativity, efficiency, and speed. - Build compelling communications that capture attention across a variety of mediums and channels, including email, digital, video, graphic, and visual communications. - Deliver content for executive speaking, presentations, and other leadership communications that reach a wide variety of internal and external audiences. - Work closely with our Shared Services team to analyze data, assess content and channel effectiveness, and determine necessary continuous improvement efforts. - Partner with GSCCS colleagues in GS Org-Wide Comms, Shared Service and Creative Solutions, as well stakeholders’ teams in Marketing, PR, Sales, and HR to deliver communications for complex business initiatives - Lead and develop a small team of individual contributors and serve as a member of the GSCCS leadership team. - Exercise high judgment and a flexible problem-solving approach to deliver results quickly in an ambiguous and evolving environment.About the teamDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences.
