As the Localization Program Manager, you'll drive the entire localization lifecycle – from projects planning and scoping to quality assurance and continuous process improvement. Your role will involve managing localization projects, optimizing processes, and delivering exceptional localized content that meets the needs of our global customers.- Program Management: Lead end-to-end localization projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and translation teams to ensure smooth project execution and high-quality outputs.- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve localization processes and tools. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability of localization workflows.- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure that localized content meets AWS's high standards for accuracy and consistency.- Metrics and Reporting: Analyze localization metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.- Industry Leadership and Best Practices: Stay at the forefront of localization industry trends, tools, and best practices. Contribute to the development, implementation, and onboarding of the latest localization strategies within AWS, ensuring the organization remains a leader in global content management.A day in the lifeAs Localization Program Manager at AWS, you'll play a crucial role in breaking down language barriers and making AWS Support content accessible to customers worldwide. You'll start your day by reviewing project requests and coordinating projects plans with your global vendors. Throughout the day, you might find yourself managing project budgets, answering queries from stakeholders, ensuring quality of localized content, performing reviews of small updates, or analyzing metrics to identify process improvements. Your expertise in managing multilingual projects will be vital in ensuring that complex technical information is accurately conveyed across languages. Without your skills in coordinating localization efforts, our international customers would struggle to fully leverage AWS Support Knowledge. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams- Strong knowledge of localization tools, content management systems, and translation management systems.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.- Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one additional language (French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Korean or Japanese). ...
